We are closing gender gaps, racial and ethnic barriers, and building diverse leaders of tomorrow.

Our Inspiration
Famed heart surgeon Dr. Michael DeBakey pioneered surgical innovations. Among them are coronary bypass operations, artificial hearts and the replacement and repair of blood vessels. Dr. DeBakey received numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the National Medal of Science, and the Congressional Gold Medal. The Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions in Doha, Qatar was founded in 2008 with the permission of Dr. Michael E. DeBakey in collaboration with Dr. Ibrahim Al Naimi. The school became only the second in the world to bear Dr. DeBakey’s name. We are honored to lead and operate this unique school. Our goal is to make these opportunities available to students all over the world.
